Eritrean-Swede Legendary AIK Stockholm becomes Head coach of Club AIK in less than a year after he retires.

AIK has decided to fire its head coach Bartosz Grzelak after a special board meeting. This after Thursday’s big 3-0 loss in the European conference League against Czech Slovacko. Eritrean national team captain and AIK superstar Henok Goitom takes over as acting head coach for the rest of the season. AIK was not able to return to form since Henok’s absence last year for most of the season. The club chooses to break with its coach Bartosz Grzelak, who took over in July 2020 after Rikard Norling who coached Henok before his last game.

Henok Goitom adds another incredible achievement to his resume as he will go down in history as the one of best players to have played for AIK and possibly Team Eritrea. This is a great opportunity for the Eritrean-Swede to also get involved in the development of the Eritrean national team. Eri-Internationalsports started following Henok Goitom almost 18 years ago when he first started his career and is proud of the achievements that Henok has made. Good luck to AIK under head coach Henok Goitom. Meanwhile, there are also rumors that Dutch club Fortuna Sittard star from last year Eritrean-Swede Tesfaldet Tekie may be joining AIK Stockholm and could be playing under Henok Goitom. Tesfaldet Tekie is on the radar for Eritrean national team duties.
