Head Coach of AIK Stockholm Henok Goitom remains undefeated in the Swedish premiere league.
While the excitement of Alexander Isak’s Newcastle United debut vs Liverpool and Crystal Palace has been the talk of the world, it also comes at a time when the icon and mentor to Alexander Isak is already making a successful transition towards coaching. Henok Goitom a member of the Eritrean national team who retired from playing his club soccer with the legendary Swedish top club AIK Stockholm has remained undefeated as a coach since taking over AIK a couple of weeks ago after Bartosz Grzelak was fired. In his first game as a coach, against IFK Norrköping the club won 4-2. In the second game under Henok after a draw with Hammarby 2-2, the club had to quickly turn around and play in the European conference league losing a close call 1-0 to FC Slovácko.

The club rebounded back quickly and they defeated GIF Sundsval with an impressive 4-0 despite the club being in the lower standings of the top Swedish league, the Allsvenskan. Henok who also serves as a Television analyst seems to have rallied the club after a very disappointing start to the season. As a coach, he seems to have put the very same energy he put towards his club during his playing days. Many fans were not sure if he would be the right fit based on fan reactions that Eri-internationalsports had been monitoring, however the Eritrean-Swede is proving them wrong and his success as coach will remain to be seen. Meanwhile, for now he remains undefeated in the very tough Swedish top flight.
